I have owned a GE X-216A radio for many years, but which now is acting up, and have been unable to locate any info on this model...

Tubes used are:
RCA 50L6 GT
RAYTHEON 12SQ7 GT/G
GE 35Z5 GT/G
NAT'L UNION ("NU") 35Z5 GT/G
GE 12SK7 (METAL)
GE K-33J456 (RR-7013) (PIERCED METAL)
HYTRON 12SA7 (METAL)
also
K12J33-316 (ALUMINUM CAP.)
All tubes correspond to the location label glued to the bottom of the cabinet.
The fiber back has instructions in spanish and english regrding phono, antenna, etc.
"631" is written on the chassis, in pencil.
Any Idea what this set is?

For what it's worth, I got this from my father, and always understood that he "brought it back from Hawaii after the War" (that's WWII).

Also, this may be too trivial, but if I am not mistaken I believe I have glimpsed this same model in use in the movie "No Man Is An Island" with Jeffrey Hunter. I don't have a copy of that movie but it caught my eye years ago since I associated with model with WWII given my father's description.

I haven't plugged this in to try it in about 20 years, but last time I tried it still worked.

I have the same radio in for repair and found what seems to be the same unit in Ryders 15. It listed as model X-153. If you do not have it I will send you a copy. The radio I have is missing parts and has a broken band select switch so may not be repairable. Good luck.

The tubes are in series, so if one burns out, all of them quit lighting. Also it is quite likely that the metal chassis is connected to one side of the power line.
