Wurlitzer 2900 fast

I'm finishing up a restoration of a Wurlitzer 2900 for a friend. This my first Wurly. Everything is working fine but the speed is noticeably fast at about 48- 49 rpm. I did replace the 2 O-ring belts. I did not save the old ones, but I believe they were a bit thinner in diameter, and I'm thinking this may be the reason for the higher rpms. The ones I have now measure about 3.5 mm. They seem to fit the grooves OK, but are probably riding a bit higher. I ordered another pair from another supplier, but am not sure if they will be any different. Seems no one owns a caliper...
I suppose I could cut down the motor drive bushing or idler wheel a bit if necessary but I would be guessing on amount. Or maybe it would be easier to increase the turntable diameter a bit by adding rubber or something similar? Any experience with this or advice is appreciated! Thanks, Carl.
