Thanks Ron .. i got that problem solved and got the pinbank all cleaned ( a real pain ) . Now on to a new problem that i hope you can find me a short cut to also .
I found that big brown resistor on the back of the credit unit terminal strip fried . Also the 1A fuse that lays out in the open in the corner of the select chassis blown . I replaced the resistor and the 1A fuse . I have the pinbank off laying out so i can see the pins move to check it before i put it back in . I made 3 or 4 selections with the keyboard and the pins moved then that fuse blew again . Changed the fuse to a 2A and was able to make about 10 selections , pins moved till it blew again .

When i had the pinbank apart i noticed one of the coils was burned up black . If that is shorted would it put a load on the whole pinbank ?

What do you think ?

Hi Ken,
Yea--short term memory loss is tough--now what waz your question ??
Watch that lever ( called the "detent release lever"). Is it falling ALL the way down after the power is off the coil, or is it hanging up ?
Sometimes "people" grease the coil plunger, and it becomes sticky, other times the brass insert, in the coil stop separates, and a small chunk of it gets in the coil sleeve. From what you have written, I suspect one of the two has happened here--
