Hi Clarence,
( I split you post from the others, as the thread was way too long)
What does it do ? Is the motor running ? Did you just acquire this phono, or did it just stop working ?--Did you move it, without properly bolting it down for shipment ? Need more info to diagnose the problem--

Hello Clarence,
Welcome to the forum, as Ron says he needs more information on how the issue presents itself.
A brief history regarding the machine and the events leading up to the fault may help.

Hi Ron,
The motor is running and if I close a set of contacts under carriage it will pull a record and then it goes right back. It has not been moved, I am not sure what it could be. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks..........Clarence

Clarence,
Do you have the Service Manual ? If so, locate the reversing switch, and tell me which way it's "pointed" when viewed from the viewing area, under the TES. Ron Rich

Ron,
Thank You for posting. I am not there now and I am not sure how soon I will be able to get over there. I know that if I click the relay it will reverse. Any hints You can give me will help. Is there a solenoid that makes it scan? I am just not that familiar with seegurg mech. I am used to wurlitzer. Thanks again..........Clarence

Hi Clarence,
Just your lucky day--I have written an whole (67 page) "guide" to the Seeburg Mechanism, called, oddly enough,--"the Seeburg Mechanism Guide". IMHO, it will help you familiarize yourself with it's workings. If you would like to purchase a copy, PM me please--- Ron Rich
