Help ID phonograph?

by ParrotFinz » Fri Jun 27, 2008 7:57 pm

I just got a very cool portable phonograph, and I was wondering if anybody could help me determin when it was made. It's a Motorola, made in England, and the model number is SF 14 SL. My initial guess is that it's from the 50s due to the arm. It has very unique speakers that swing out from the main box, with the speaker wires going into the front of the speakers. I've never seen a player configured quite like this one.

Thanks a lot for any help!!

According to the data on Radiomuseum, this was made in 1960 --

A schematic is available on this page -- http://techpreservation.dyndns.org/sche ... torola.htm
