TSU3 Code A Two problems

Hi All

Regular TSU in this unit works without any problems.

Trouble shooting a Seeburg TSU3 Code A that has a Free Play unit in the circuit. Problem 1. When I make a selection through the keyboard the selector keys stay down and the mech does not scan. I can get the mech to scan by tripping the solenoid on back of stepper.

Problem 2. When doing B test mech would not trip when forced to scan as described above. Went to L test and mech would scan when forced and trip during test as it is supposed to do.

Went to Items 17 and 22 page 366 service notes 17-Put known good 12AX7 tube in, still no trip. 22- Is there any further method to determine of the pulse amplifier is dead?

Neither step up wheel in the stepper will snap back when you manually turn them. Are an RSC 2 interchangeable with a RSC 3?

Any other ideas?

Update with working RSC3 installed it works fine. Now to repair the RSC2 stepper

Trouble shooting guide not even close on this one. I took the step up wheels for the numbers and the letters apart, cleaned them including the brass(?) rivets and the trace they touch, lubricated the parts and reassembled. Wheels now snap back into place and everything is working as intended.
