I just rebuilt my old Magnavox W-620 and discovered that the spindle is slightly bent and the pawl spring is missing. I have rigged a replacement for the spring, but neither are working consistently and properly. I've attached a close-up of the spring that I downloaded from e-bay. Does anyone have a junk Micromatic they would be willing to sell the spindle and spring off of?

Hello, I am working on the same project and am missing the spindle Pawl lift spring altogether. Did you ever find a good solution or source for a replacement spring? Your spring replacement in the photo looks very nice, any idea why it did not work (was it just the bent spindle)? Can you tell me what wire you used and how you made it?
