Grundig model R255 stereo info

Hi all-- new to the site, a lot of cool info on here. I have acquired a grundig model R255 stereo and was hoping to dig up some info on it. Anyone know the age and value of this console type unit? It does not have a phono or reel to reel, but is pretty large and only has one external speaker-- I'm assuming it should have two?? any help appreciated- thanks

Hi,

Is the model you have an R255 or an RF255? If it is the RF255, it already contains a built-in speaker to the left of the receiver.

Some early stereos had the left speakers in the main cabinet, and the right speaker in a satellite box.
