Yep--that I did !
I aint never seent nor herdt of that before on this model !--It would be my guess that this is NOT a lubrication issue. That being said, the motors on this model are noted for running dry, and ruining the bearings, so, if it has not been oiled, I surly would do so. There is a "lubrication chart" printed in the Seeburg information that came with the phono, and I have re-printed it in my "Seeburg Mechanism Guide" along with my recommendations for doing so( which are different from the guide !).
My guess is that the problem you are having is related to the PCC interface board. There were several "issues" related to motor speed, with the early version of that board. If I were you, I would first oil the mech, and if the problem persists, repair the board ( or send the board to me, for repair).
