Rockola 440 - need to clean up

Hi all, I have a Rockola 440 (recently purchased and very new to the game)! Please be patient with me! My question is the spots/rings (one above and one below) the 160 selector levers that the carriage arms rest/rotate on are quite gummed up with grease/residue. What is an acceptable cleaner to clean this grime off with? Once clean, should I lubricate? Thanks for the help. I have a service manual on the way that will hopefully help mw in the future.
Thanks!
Travis

Travis,
Do nothing--wait for the manual, so you can better describe what you are talking about, using terms in the book--that way we have a chance of understanding-- Ron Rich

The grooves formed by the write in carriage have layers of old hardened grease. I cannot find in the service manual on how to clean this off or how to re-lubricate? Any suggestions?

Safety Solvent, and a rag ( or anything else you can put on a rag and wipe).
Zero to an extremely light coat of moly-graph grease. Ron Rich

Thanks Ron! These jukeboxes are fascinating machines!
