Rock Ola 464 amp

by mb9513 » Mon Oct 21, 2013 4:18 am

Hi all, I am recapping the amp for a Rock ola 464. I got the kit from Vern Tisdale's site. the Schematic shows c53 is a 10mfd electrolytic on the power supply board, in parallel with r34. I have the cap, but the board I have has no cap or any place to put it.(part# 49083) I am trying to figure out if the cap is an earlier version, or a later revsion. Should I not worry about it or put it in circuit? That would be pretty easy. This is a frustrating amp as it has an obvious hum. It has had most of the electolytics replaced already. Even when I went and replaced the origionals it did not solve the hum. So I am doing them all.
I have gone through all the grounds and fixed those too, as I understand this box has issues with grounds. Thanks Mark

Mark,
Just a guess--it's on a later version of that board--may even be "tacked on" across the resistor in the later versions--quite common to see something like that--
