I got to agree with TripleSpring. Unless you got some big honking Revox that came from a major recording studio, you're out of luck. I don't keep up with the trends for this older technology, but it seems that folks these days can barely handle an LP or 45, let alone reels or 8-tracks.
I love my reel-to-reels, love the sound, and use them quite often for live recording, when I have the time. With the exception of one (which cost me $3.98 at a thrift store), they were all free (maybe a little negotiation involved). Folks around here just give them away. See below. Damn, I gave away/abandoned my Wollensaks. Would anyone have those beige/silver metal trimmed units? I remember those during my Spanish classes four years doing high school late 60's early 70's. Speaker and tone controls were front-mounted, and had a big metal carrying handle. The lid was removable to accomodate the 7" reels. I'll have to do some web surfing to find a pic. --BB
