The main problem with all model WurliTzers from the 3400 on up, was the read out switches became "intermittent".
That was no big deal BACK THEN, but today, it's a really big deal, as the switches were made from unobtainium.

The deal with this one Ron is the seller said it worked when she bought it
She transported it home, and althogh all the mechanics seem to be working, there is no sound.
Its in real nice condition and she wants $150 for it
I know this is a real broad question, but does this bring to mind any obvious things to look for pertaining to the sound problem?
Would you say to just stay away from this model???
There is no point in buying a money pit if its not even very collectible or reliable.
Thanks

I would run the other way--but that's just my opinion-- Others will dis-agree, I think--
Oh, one other thing to check on that model--be SURE that the lamp ballasts are insulated from the wood, and are wired within the main fuse circuit.--WurliTzer "messed up" and the ballasts were un=fused on some of those !!
