Zenith Console

by smolavision » Sat Apr 09, 2011 3:29 am

I picked this Zenith console up for $75.00 on Craigslist. It rocks. It is a tube amp and tube tuner. The TT has the cobra look tone arm but is not labled Cobramatic. The record changer works great, and sounds fantastic. My issue is with the tuner, the string that connects the knob to the tuner is broke. To change frequency I have to move the indicator needle with my finger from inside the unit. Anyone know how to reroute a new string. I'm fairly handy.

Sometimes these things are really complex. It would be impossible without more data on your console. Provide the model number.

The model # is SFF2585M1 the chassis # is 11G25. However not sure the chassis number applies just to the amp which sits behind the right speaker or also refers to the tuner section which sits above the TT that pulls out in a drawer. Worst case I take the tuner out and try to follow the logic. Steve.
