Moderators, I find that we very often here on this site advise those who have just aquired a vintage set and need help to seek out a professional. This is VERY good advice indeed, except we never seem to be able to help them find someone in their area. Telling these folks to find a professional but offering no clue as to where one might be found is of no use to them and seems rather that we are discouraging them instead of helping them. So, I was thinking perhaps a sticky on which folks could post a note on where a service tech is located in their area. We would of course offer no endorsment of any kind but this might be of great help to those who are trying to keep and restore their set and helping folks who are trying to do just that is part of what we do here. Thoughts?

Hi Thom,
As far as I'm concerned --ab-so-lut-ley, yes!!
I only have one very small problem, with this--keeping the list current--we have done something similar in the jukebox section--but it's a referral to a list, that is kept current.

I'd be more than happy to assist these people desiring restoration/repairs, however, as I mentioned on other threads, I'm swamped with requests from people.
Being located in the Philadelphia Pa area, I get locals, as well as others as far away as Miami Fla, Illinois, and even one from Toronto Canada.
The shop I work out of does modern flat screen tv's etc, but I provide this "restoration service" because of the increasing need for it.
I'm only one guy doing these, and some take a while to do - during that time I may get several more emails/phone call requests.
So it snowballs, obviously - and thus I started a "Waiting List" for those patient enough to wait.

If Ron wants to add me to any listings, great, but add in the "wait time" as being months long.
I can never catch up, it seems.
