Hello,

So, I just picked this up this week and have been reading up on all the mistakes I made while moving it and such.

I have to say, it appears to work pretty good, but sometimes wants to repeat the same record over and over. From what I've read it sounds like its the 'gummy clutch arm' issue?

I'm going to call a local Jukebox guy and have him come out and run me through what needs to be done to properly lubricate and take care of the machine.

Just thought I'd stop in and say hi.

I do have a couple of questions though,

1) The flourescent tubes and starters seem to be shot. Are those a common item I can pick up at the home depot, or do I need to order those from a specialty outfit?
2) How do you re-position the carriage in order to load records?

I'm buying up 7" singles like crazy, and am really looking forward to using this juke!

Hi King,
I doubt the clutch is causing repeated records--many things can cause this--such as a loose label, sticky safety plunger, warped record, record rack alignment, to carriage, turntable alignment to record rack. I believe it's time for you to do some homework, RTFM--and the stickies above. Also, my Seeburg Mechanism guide goes into this subject--(PM me if you wish to purchase).

It's probably one of those terminology deals. I still need to come up to speed.

I've read through the stickies, but some will take repeated readings till they make sense.

I'm not going to touch anything until I get someone who knows what they are doing to look it.

PM Sent on the Seeburg guide.

In the meantime,

Can anyone steer me towards the answers to these two questions?

1) The flourescent tubes and starters seem to be shot. Are those a common item I can pick up at the home depot, or do I need to order those from a specialty outfit?

2) How do you re-position the carriage in order to load records?

King,
1.Lamps are 36 inch T-8's--starters are FS-4's--Good hardware store, or electrical supply items, or mail order from anyone of the suppliers listed above.
2. Use the service switch assembly located in the upper section on the right--instructions are listed on it--"Bat handle switch" Far right--operate (normal)--center, motor off ( requires sliding the small switch twice)--Far left, motor start.

Thanks Ron!

Good advice on the record replaying issue I was having.

Seems a fair amount of that issue is related to warped records/weird records. I've been going through them 1 by 1 to find which ones give the issues and which ones dont.

It's a fun Juke joint party tonight!
