Rowe Central Control Computer #40777312 problem

Hi all,

I am seeking advice on repairing a Rowe Central Control Computer #40777312. When I plugged the CCC unit into my R-90 machine, only the +8 VDC lit up. The CCC digital display and the keyboard display did not light up. I checked the CCC battery and it checked out at 3V. I also checked all the solder connections on the board and did not find any cracked or broken connections. Based on some previous posts on CCC's I went ahead removed the old battery and replaced it by soldering on a coin battery holder and putting in a new 2032 battery. I checked the solder connection for the holder with my multimeter for 3V to ensure that the holder was securely soldered to the CCC board. I also re-seated the eprom but still only the +8 VDC come on when I pulled into my jukebox. My R-90 has a CCC #407773-05. I'm guessing that the eprom needs to be replaced.

Hi Juan,
Didja check ALL voltages from your power supply ?? Didja remove that rottin foam filler, that Rowe put behind your CCC ? Didja "Default" the CCC ?? Didja check ALL header solder jobs --pins in plugs, on EVERYTHING !! ?? Iffin you did all that, yep--the CCC has some problems-- Ron Rich

Thanks. I did all of the checking you mentioned, and the foam had already been removed from the back of the CCC unit.

Hello Juan,

You will need to send your CCC to someone to test/repair it for you. It is doubtfull that the eprom is the issue.
