Hi:
Many thanks for all the DETAIL on the subject. My 1225 is working well now 98% of the time but I look forward to reviewing all the operations based on your input.
The Sterupimple is my misspelling of the little friction pad that makes the tone arm swing in or out on the record. If it is damaged or missing I believe the tone arm will just stay in the end groove and not reject.

If the friction coupling is missing, the arm will rise, but not swing horizontally. Then the record will drop on the arm.
