Rockola Supersound 2 Chase Lights

by jbrand31 » Mon Mar 30, 2015 1:32 am

I just picked up a Rockola 490 Supersound 2 over the weekend at a great price. The records play perfectly, the sound is good and the only real issue was removing a mouse nest from the speaker wiring system at the bottom of the unit. Spent some time this afternoon addressing what appears to be a blown flourescent light ballast that would power the bulb behind the title strips. It does not get warm so I removed it. Somewhere in the process of doing this the chase lights above the title strips and near the lower section of the machine no longer light or blink. It's only cosmetic but this juke is a gift for my sister in law and cosmetics matter. I cannot for the life of me figure out what happened. The lights had been working fine and I don't think the ballast would impact these lights but somewhere along the way they've shut down. All the other lights are fine with the exception being the center flourescent bulb - going to an electric supply house tomorrow to get the ballast and bulb.

Has anyone faced this? Is anyone aware of a particular fuse that would impact just these two light features? This is the fifth jukebox I've worked on but the first Rockola. Any thoughts are advice would be very useful. Thanks in advance for your help.
