Hi! and welcome to the board!

I'm sure someone with more technical knowledge will be able to advise you on the mechanical problem, but you really need to get yourself a manual.

As for "random selection" the only way to do this on this machine is to "shut your eyes and press a few buttons."

Speedy,
As doghouse says--a manual is needed. (see announcements above-where to buy)--that problem can stem from a bad switch on the keyboard, a bad contact in a plug, or a broken wire in the "pinbank"--or worse--
BTW another way to get "random selections" on that phono--give a kid a coin, and let him/her "push buttons", you will hear "stuff" you never thought was there-- --- Ron Rich

Ah!

How often do we refuse to remove a record as it's "one of our favourites" yet when we look at the popularity meter, we see that it's hardly ever played?

Doghouse,

When ever I changed records on the route, I wold leave the removed ones in the machine till the next record change. Many times I would get complaints about removing one that gets "played all the time". I'd say "yea--lets see f it's still in the jukebox--If so, I'll re-install it". 9 out of 10 times, it was no longer there--

My wife talked me into buying the Andrews Sisters "Rum and Coca Cola" (it has Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy on the B side) as she'd heard this "Coca Cola record" in an episode of CSI on TV and liked it. It cost me thirteen quid (near mint mind you) six months ago from Holland and she's listened to it twice!
