Hello: My friend has a Seeburg J jukebox that has set for several years and I am trying to fix it for him, at first the box did make the right selections and pulled the record but it kept rejecting the record and went to the next selection and did the same thing, the next time I went there it picked the record and pulled it out of the magazine and when the needle landed on the record the turntable stopped, I manually rejected the record and it did the same on the next selection, if anyone can help me on this problem I can hopefully fix my friends jukebox.

Thank You

Hi Skip,

I guess you are talking obout the 1955 Seeburg 100J or JL.

I would clean all the open mech contacts, I find using a peice of folded writing paper the best thing for doing this type of job.
More than likely if the jukebox has been stood for years it may be best to degease and re lubricate. Gease build up on the clutch could be a source of your rejection problems or it could have worn edges.

Best of luck
