What does this sound like to you?

Greetings all -

Quick diagnosis question - what does this sound like to you?

Unknown brand phonograph motor - crank turns but nothing is happening. Crank will just turn and turn with no energy being stored up.

When turntable turns manually (by my finger) all gears turn correctly.

Thanks for your time!

Sounds to me, like the main spring is either broken in the center, or has come off the center arbor. If it was broken or come away from the outer end, there should be some noise or movement before the spring slips.
That happens alot when you turn the turntable with your finger!
