This is my first post to this site and forum. I joined in hopes that I could get some assistance from people that know WAY more about this stuff than I do (which would be all you wonderful, knowledgeable folks!). I've done some searching and reading on various topics here, including the one I need some assistance with, and all of you seem to know your stuff! I hope I can get some help.
I recently purchased an RCA Console stereo. Model says VJT-61W on the back. I had the electronics serviced after I got it, and it's working great. Sounds pretty impressive really, for something that's probably nearly 50 years old. What I would love to find is an owner's manual. Not a service manual like from Sam's, but the consumer manual that came with the unit. I would also like to find out some more information about when it was made, and other stuff about the product line. It looks almost identical to RCA's "Finlandia" line, minus the sliding doors that cover the speakers. Finlandia was apparently their top of the line model for 1967, and the higher model number seems to indicate that the one I got is "up there" too, but I can't seem to find any specific information about it, except that the "w" in the name means the cabinet is walnut.
I have searched here, and elsewhere online, with no luck. I'll keep combing eBay for the manual, but none of the usual places online have it, or anything like it. Too old I guess. Anyone's brain out there have more information than Google?
