This is the Edison Diamond Disc Model B-19 also known as the "Chalet", it is a table model machine, unlike the previous table model Diamond Disc models (B-60 & 80 ect.) this one has the "direct drive" turntable. The B-19 plays the thick Edison Disc recordings, and the B-19 was introduced in 1919, with not many models manufactured or sold, they were constructed of stained gumwood, and came in the mahogany or maple finishes, this model is in maple. The B-19 is a nice machine to play Edison Diamond Discs when space is a factor. I love my B-19, the reproducer has been completely rebuilt with new gaskets and diamond stylus. I think the volume and tone of Edisons are great, especially fox trots and jazz of the mid to late twenties!phonocrazed
