I have run across a Type TP1 paging microphone that I assume can be installed into a Seeburg USC2. Unfortunately, where it needs to be installed is a mystery to me. I figure it gets connected to the amplifier somewhere, but I just dont see it. I have the USC1 service manual, but see nothing about installation of this item. Any help is appreciated, Id love to get this thing connected up and working!
Well, maybe it can be done--depending on which amplifier is installed in your phono. You need a TSA-10 Code B amp, with black output transformers. Earlier TSA-10's will either not have a plug installed (Code "A") or will have problems if a mic is connected. Ron Rich
This flyer states it can be readily plugged into the TSA10 amplifier of the USC2. This makes it sound as if any rev of this amp in a Firestar will work. I believe I have determined the Amp to be a TSA10 Code A60. Sure would be nice to get this installed, and it sounds like it can be, but still no idea where, strange.
Well, first of all, that is NOT a "USC-2" amp ! They were all supplied with a TSA-10 code B amp, and we quickly realized that there were "problems" related to the output transformer design, if, when, a mic was installed--so, they were "re-designed" to fix the problems--Ron Rich
