need help identifying component

Pardon my ignorance, but I need help identifying a component in the tuner unit of a magnavox tube am/fm/phono console. It is the component labeled SN302 in the attached photo. It sort of looks like a mica cap, but it has multiple leads. I do not have the schematic for the radio and have not been able to find any info on the console (the console cabinet is marked with model number 1SB966OK and the amp unit has three stenciled markings: "T-3," "533113," and "88 02 00"). Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi,
It's a component combination part meaning inside it has very small capacitors and resistors, a somewhat ready made network for use in a particular circuit. If you are wondering if it's bad or should be replaced the answer is no. Very, very unlikely to go bad. If you do get the schematic you will see in enclosed in a dotted line. Therein will be the components, value, and connections. If, and that's a big IF, one of the parts were to be bad, you go by the schematic and only have to replace the individual one.

Thanks for the info. The part is blistered, which can't be a good sign. Hopefully I find the schematic. The tuner is marked 59-28-00. I found on another site that Sam's 454-1 might be cover it.
