The light blocker Seeburg used there was a curved, thin, (not) flexible (enough), opaque plastic, that covered the whole lamp, and, which tended to split, if one was not totally attentive ("thinking" ?), when removing/replacing it ( I destroyed more than one NEW one--easy for me to do !).
You are going to need to build something, yourself, for that purpose--it should not block out all light from hitting the title strips, as you won't be able to read them if it does !

The overall issue with the sound quality going south was the trip switch balance spring was swinging in the wind. all I had to do was reattach it. It was difficult because all I had was the poor scan of the manual, but I was able to crack the code.

I will have to check out material and create a new light blocking device. I'll probably use the same design as the one that is already in place because it does a good job. I just want to make it better!

Recapping the Tormat Control: (about) $20

$275 into this so far. That's not bad at all. I am still going to work on the cosmetics. There is a huge gash out of the wood in a few spots. I would like to replace the cloth over the speakers too.
Maybe down the road recap the amplifier.
