I'm sure you're all familiar with these.
They're the ones with Elvis record covers stuck in them and with the front graphic panel ripped out and replaced with clear glass. The mechanism can thus be seen by anyone under four-feet tall.
Your's for a "buy it now" price of about two and a half thousand bucks.

Riley,
Never saw one here--did the factory make it that way, or was that some sort of an aftermarket "kit" ?

I think it's just "home made" conversion.
It looks like a German made Lyric FL. The last of the "upright" mechanisms.
They don't appear on the Pinball site.
There's a few versions of the Lyric on the Stamann archive page, including this one.
http://www.jukebox-world.de/Forum/Archi ... c-1969.htm
It looks like the blank section under the dome glass above the title cards where the Wurlitzer motif is usually situated has had Elvis photos added and as I said the "sailing boats" graphic has been removed and clear glass added.
It certainly looks "original."

Hello Bob,
Going by the looks of that Wurlitzer it is a German Lyric the C, CL or FL all made in 1968 going by the badge on the left hand side rather than on the right on the later jukeboxes.
I like to keep jukeboxes original rather than making them so you can see the mechanism. That is ok if the jukebox had that original but most of these conversions are a mess and the jukebox ends up looking wrong IMHO.

Hi Alan, it's definitely an FL as on the Stamann link I posted.
I think it's sad when these things are "bastardised" trying to make them into something they aren't just to ask a silly price. They've made no attempt to disguise the rest of the parts around the turntable.
There was a Rockola 433 given the same treatment a few weeks ago where the flat piece of glass with the graphic was replaced with clear glass to make it another "visible mechanism." Not something I would do to mine, but then I'm not in the business of selling them.
