galvanized finish

hi guys anyone knows how to reproduce the galvanize finish of the reproducer and amplifiers of the jukeboxes using some type of paint?
I'm restoring a seeburg trashcan and after cleaning all the rust areas will be nice to restore the finish ,without tacking all the components out

You might take a look at Eastwood's site(eastwood.com). They have a lot of products for restoring automotive underhood finishes. Duplicolor has some interesting paints as well for automotive restoration. It may take a combination of techniques to get the finish you're looking for. Maybe a light gray base coat with a dusting of chrome in a can? It's something I need to experiment with as well.

Good luck! I have a trashcan, too, that's undergoing a slow restoration. I suspect I will leave the chassis and reproducer as is. The effort required to paint the amp and selection receiver would be huge. I'd much rather put the work into the outside and have it look super spiffy.

thanks Jim I used galvanized paint to protect the finish it came out decent
