Replacement for 1M 10W Cardohm

I need to replace a 1M 10W cardohm resistor (open of course).
I cant find any wirewounds near that resistance, so I am looking for suggestions
of what to use for this.

I've never heard of THAT value resistor before - in anything.
Are you SURE it's a correct value, and not 1K, 100K, or something else?

"Bird" go here: http://www.verntisdale.com/Rockolaschem.htm Trace out the resistor in question. It almost certainly is in the B+ source section and is not likely anywhere near I meg.
As for the "candohm" drill out the rivets, throw it out, mount a terminal strip in one of the vacated holes and use any resistor close to the original value @10w or greater.

Rob & Matt,

You are both correct.

I took out the candohm (just screws), and opened up the metal "can".
There was a break by one of the leads.

I measured 1 lead, and was able to determine it is a 2K resistor.
It was very linear down the length of coiled wire.

The manual says 1M 10W candohm, but obviously that is an error.

There has to be an error on the schematic, or part that was in there, as there is no 2K on the schematic.

Will post when I figure it out.
