M100C up and running - thanks!

It's working! Tech fixed the amp (needed new transformer) and we are in business,

Click here (hopefully) to see and hear it

I cannot help but sing along very loudly - not sure why a jukebox has this affect :D but its just a beautiful piece of machinery.

Thank you to everyone who provided advice, especially Rob-NYC, Ron and Eddie.

Of course I have a question. Apparently my 6J7 tube is missing its "Grid Cap" - anyone know where I can get one (as I cannot find it on the usual websites mentioned on the stickies)

thanks!

Doh! Fixed that.

re: Grid Cap...I am a complete novice at tubes, so I very sorry what I am sure are such basic questions. I may be using the wrong terminology. Perhaps I should be asking about a "shield/cover"???

The tech who serviced my amp said this may help reduce the hum from the amp before the record plays.

here is mine

and here is I guess what I am missing (picture from jukebox-world.de)?

If so, do I need to look out for one from a parts machine (as I cannot see anything in the usual repro parts sellers)

thanks!

You don't need that part.

4Max

Looks and sounds good, happy you got it going :D

Not sure if you need 6j7 grid cap however if you want one there is a seller on eBay that has a NOS with grid cap

I have seen a "million" or so that do not have it-never heard "hum"--Hum usually indicates a need to re-build it correctly !
