Seeburg USC2

I'm sure the first thing I should do before posting dumb questions on a forum is to buy the manual. I learned this while rebuilding a 1952 Ford 8N tractor. I've ordered the Service/Operation/Installation Manual. Hope to have it in a week. However, I'd love to jump right into this. I was given this jukebox by someone who says it worked perfectly until recently. When you turn it on, the lights come on and you hear that nice "thump" of the speakers. However, other than the spinning of the component that should be turning the record (if it actually selected a record), there is no movement at all when you make a selection. The guy who gave it to me says this happened once before - years ago - and it took the repairman less than 5 minutes to fix it (no parts!). However, this repairman is no longer available. Any idea what might be a simple fix that I could check? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Well,
I hope you have purchased the manual from a "legit" source, as some people out there will sell you an incomplete manual. You need the one for the USC-1, AND the USC-2 Supplement---I would also suggest that my "Seeburg Mechanism Guide" as well as My "Seeburg Microlog Troubleshooting Guide" would be of some assistance--contact me off list, for those, if you wish--
From your description, I am not quite sure where your problem lays-- Do the "Select" lamps illuminate ? Does pushing a button on the keypad cause the "1st digit" lamp to light--and so on ? Is the turntable turning ?

I purchased the manual from the Victory Glass website. I read that they purchased the copyrights and were the legit source to try.

My turntable is turning, but pressing buttons does not cause the "1st digit", etc. lights to come on.

What happens when you "add coins" ? Check the lamps they MUST BE # 1819 "double hung" filaments ONLY.
Also, check the -27, and -13 vdc power supplies. Ron Rich
