Seeburg DS-160 Roller Carriage not moving

by Kyle Turman » Tue Jul 29, 2008 11:07 pm

I recently aquired a Seeburg SD-160. Most everything seems in working order, except the roller carriage system. I can manually engage the system to pick up a record and play it. But when I try to use the number/letter buttons to pick a song, the roller carriage system does not respond.

Could there be a fuse out or other simple things I could check?

I would really appreciate any help I could get on this matter.

Kyle;

Make sure the Service switch is in the 'On' or 'Play' position. If it still doesn't start scanning, check for an open or dirty contact in the Pricing Unit (assuming you're trying to make a selection from the Console, and not a Wallbox). This would be on the D contact of S421, which closes when the Subtract solenoid energizes. It's connected to pin 2 of P421.

Cheers,
