Guild "Ginger Bread Bin" Stereo-phonic

hello to all!
great forum here-caps key works when it wants to, so please excuse informality...
i was searching for info for an old Guild "Ginger-Bread bin" stereo-phono unit that i have, and came across an old post from a Jenna in '03 in your previous format. She never received a response, and my unit sounds similar to hers so it lead me here. I have this AM-FM phono that was made by Guild Radio and Television that was my Dad's and am trying to find out more about it...I think it was one of the first stereo radio receivers out there, and according to "Jenna", her's was dated 1958, although i can find no such date on mine. it is a big wooden cabinet about 4 ft high and 3 feet wide. it has a very big speaker (not sure what size) mounted behind a tweed surface, which in turn can be hidden by 2 swinging doors that are decorated with a porcelain man and woman. jenna described them as oriental looking, but they look more dutch or german to me! there is a sliding wooden cover for the phono and all the controls as well; am fairly certain this is from where the "ginger-bread bin" moniker is derived. all kinds of wooden adjustment knobs, sliding switches, etc. are featured in the control section. red "stereo-phonic" light would glow once a radio station broadcasting in stereo was locked in...jenna said her unit had an external speaker as well-this i remember being mounted on an outside wall by the patio under the roof! Unfortunately this speaker has been lost to time. He (and consequently i) also had (have) 2 Empire Royal Grenadier 9000 marble-top 3-way speakers to complete the indoor sound. this Guild sez it is Model 820 with 130 Watts. of course i am curious how much it might be worth, but, more importantly, i am very curious about any details that might be uncovered about this mysterious unit...i am 46 yeas old and remember it from my earliest years; the old kodak pics around the family room confirm this as well.....any kind soul who has read this far may know something...anything...about this grand old stalwart?
