Wurlitzer Statesman 3410 - Certain Selections Will Not Play

by NigelC » Sat Jan 16, 2016 9:39 pm

Hi all,
I recently purchased the Statesman 3410 and have limited knowledge of jukeboxes. It has selection buttons A-K and 1-0. The following selections do not play: G7 thru G9, All of H and J1. It is strange that G0 plays. When selecting, the magnet arm spins and clicks as though it is "talking" to the latch pin, but the pin does not jump up. The selection arm (not sure the correct term for this) then spins, but obviously does not hit a pin and therefore no selection is played. I have cleaned the contacts under the magnet arm as best I can. Any other idea what could be causing this please?

Hi Nigel,
Well, other then IMHO, the 3400 WurliTzer series, was the worst series they made in a long time, it is possible that either the keyboard is not making good contact--the connecting plugs, are not making good contact or the pins that will not release, are just "stuck". Do you have the service manual ?? If so, I think there is a trouble shooting chart therein. Ron Rich
