Is there a model number anywhere on a G.E. Trimline 500 record player? I can not find one anywhere on the player. Is there a good place to get parts for it?

Remove whatever panels (back/bottom etc.) and take a peek. There should be some stamps or labels on the inside. You can't get parts unless you know what you have.

If you do find such a stamp or label, that's how you would get a service manual/schematic that will show all the parts for the amplifier. If you need a new needle, you must remove the cartridge to get the number off of it, to find a suitable replacement.

Don't treat it as a Trimline 500. Go according to the innards and work from the inside out, unless you are fortunate to find a user's/repair manual all-in-one labeled Trimline 500, if it does exist.

Like the Maggie folks here, you can't get a manual for a model 1-RP654. The same cabinet could have been used for several years, but the tuner/amp/turntable could be different/upgraded.

I don't know a thing about your particular unit, but in this case, possibly "think inside the box." --BB

I have an original label on mine stating it is a T541g. Can't remember where it was located originally, but is now taped on the back of the right hand speaker box. It's a 40W, 105 120V 60 cycle unit. One guy on e-bay said it was 15W RMS..., but not sure about that yet. I am trying to find a service manual, and possibly replace my 8" diameter paper speakers.

The guy on ebay is probably correct tvb5571, give or take, one could check rating of output transistors. But 40 watts just means your current draw is very low, with line at 120, it's about 1/3 amp. For an example a good microwave will draw 11 amps. And record guy, just what are you after, record changer parts, cabinet parts, the electronic parts?
