Hi Steve,
Do you have a copy of my "MicroLog Trouble Shooting Guide"? I would strongly advise you to read the DCC notes section, prior to lighting it up ! Hopefully you don't have a DCC-2 Code A unit !

Hi Ron,
Yes, I have your Microlog Guide and have been using it when I was working in the DCC. I have a DCC 3 Code A and I will go over the guide once again before I put it back in the jukebox. Anything special to watch out for? I changed all the E-caps and bad resistors on the boards, and replaced all the fuses with new ones including swapping the 15 amp for a 7 1/2. I powered it up with the Dim-bulb tester and everything seemed fine, a very faint glow?

Hi Steve,
Thanks for purchasing it !--no--nothing "special" for that model, just read/check the DCC service notes, and you should be fine-- Ron Rich

Hi Ron,
Still waiting on the amp micas before I install the transistors, should be here in a day or two. I installed the DCC back in the USC-2 today, I plugged the extension J3109 cable in and left the other plugs out, I powered it from a separate GFI outlet through the Dim-Bulb tester and everything went fine. The voltages all checked out OK. I re-installed all of the other connectors on top of the DCC. Now before I plug it back into the AC outlet on the USC-2 and power it up from the main power cord and switch on the Jukebox, I checked all of the #1819 bulbs and found that the "select any album" bulb is missing. There is no Auto Speed Kit installed so there is no album capacity. Do I need that bulb installed before I fire it up? I read in your Microlog Guide about the wrong bulb sizes screwing up the Black Box, will the lack of a bulb do the same damage?
PS: Should I start a different topic since we're off the AMP topic?
Thanks,
Steve K.

Hi Steve,
No problem if a lamp is missing--just won't light --except for the "Reset" lamp on early DTP-1's, as stated in the guide.
As for a "new topic"--yea-probably
