rowe R91 hum

my r91 has developed a loud hum coming through the speakers. it does not change with volum. powering off doesn't stop it only by un plugging the power cord is the only way to stop itThanks

Hi Frank,
Something in your amplifier has gone "kaput" ! FYI-"Domestic Rowe's" do not turn the power off to the amplifier with the "power switch".
If you have the skills, you will need to trouble shoot the amp. If not, I suggest you send it to someone like me, who has had a lot of experience with them--If you would like me to rebuild it, please PM me.
