Two things to NOT do to a V-M changer

Caution: Do NOT do these things with your V-M Tri-O-Matic or Stere-O-Matic record changer:

1, Do not hold the control knob to keep the changer from shutting itself off.

2. If the following have happened in order, do NOT turn the control knob to REJECT:
- 1. The changer shut itself off.
- 2. The overarm remains down alongside the spindle.
- 3. The power switch is turned on and the arm is placed on the record (this is the manual play sequence).
- 4. The overarm is raised.
- 5. The arm enters the runout groove, but the changer does not trip.

Either of these can bend the trip slide. It is almost impossible to straighten it afterwards to the point where it doesn't bind and cause groove repetition.

Thanks for the advice. Will keep this in mind.
Vinyl is disease which attacks that area of the brain desiring digital recordings. Once you catch it, you are cured.
