Seeburg LS3 skips selection and lights out of sync

by kevinkrason » Sun Oct 19, 2014 2:30 am

I have a Seeburg LS3 that works pretty great but with a few quirks. First, every time a song plays, the 'selection playing' lights are off by one digit. This is a little annoying but doesn't effect the play at all. The other problem is that for some strange reason, I can't play a select few tracks. Most work great. Any advice on where to look is much appreciated!

Thank you!
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
Got the service manual ?? Light bar adjustment is simple--follow the instructions in the manual--
Other problem is more complicated--Got my "Seeburg MicroLog Trouble Shooting Guide" ? (Should you wish to purchase it, Please PM me) You will need to determine if it's a Read-out, or Write-in problem, and take the necessary steps to correct it--- Ron Rich

I have an update - fixed the problem with missing sections by swapping out the Grey Box with another. So far, so good. Plays all of the previously missing series 1X4/2X4.

Hi Kevin,
Most of the time, a problem such as that is a result of a plug failing to make good contact--it can be an internal failure in that DRD, but I would recheck it by plugging it in again--POWER OFF-- when removing, installing, all plugs !
