Hi, a newbie here with my first post.Glad I found this site. I have a Wurlitzer 616 that has a plastics conversion on the sides and a yellow plastic panel along the top where the title strip holder goes. They took the holder off and fastened it inside the front door. I found a title door with good glass and was wondering if anyone could post pics of how the title strip holder is mounted in the top, and the position of the piece that holds the 3 lightbulbs? I know there were brackets on the side of the title holder, and any pic of those would also be a great help. Thank you very much.
Hux.

Hello Huxley,

there had been many so called restyled models available in the late 30s and 40s. I guess the intention was to make used jukeboxes attractive again and serve operators with locations not that profitable anymore.
For my curiosity: is your version of 616 shown here, too? http://www.jukebox-world.de/Forum/Archi ... #remodeled
You will find four companies already who offered restyled 616.
I am tryying to show as many different restyled models as possible.

If you scroll up that site you will find a link to a photo gallery of a professional 616 restoration or follow this one: http://www.juke-para.de/test/Web-Galeri ... index.html
I'm afraid you will not find all information you're asking for but the photos might be of interest anyway. You can contact the owner by clicking on his name at the upper right.

Kind regards - Hildegard

Thanks, Hildegard, the links were very helpful. I really like the Art Deco look to the conversions Mine isn't that detailed, but I love it. Thanks again
