We recently bought a restored Wurlitzer 2000, which is set to freeplay.
The vendor told us that this is because of possible coin problems, and for them it would be impossible
to solve that problem with all their customers all over the Netherlands and Belgium.
I have been reading up on this (official Wurlitzer 2000 manual) and decided to try and give it a go.
So I was wondering if you guys could tell me how my system is set to freeplay.
I've read here that it can be done by flipping the spring, which one would that be ?
On another forum I've been told that on my system there is a plug in one of the holes of the black gear wheel, which makes it set to freeplay.
Is this just a block to stop the wheel from turning or is this something I should not remove, just to not destroy my playing system ?
Also, I only have one slug rejector system, the half dollar rejector is plugged in.
The 5-10-25c is missing, does this pose a problem if I just want it to work on half dollar coins, do I need both rejectors ?
And on the info sheets of the Wurlitzer manual there is a cable running from the coin register mechanism to the slug rejector (5 pins connector).
(seen in photo 1 in upper right corner and photo 5 in the middle).
That cable is also missing, does this need to be plugged in, in order for it to work on coins ?
Quite a lot of questions I know, but I hope to learn a thing or two here.
I've added photos below of my system so feel free to add text, arrows or anything to help clarify things.
Thanks in advance and looking forward to your responses !
