I have a rockola 1493 princess juke that I have got going but has one issue that I can't get fixed. The only volume I get is when the volume knob is turn to the Max and I can hear the record playing thru the speakers but its like its turned down. I have cleaned sockets and connections and all tubes are burning. Is there a mute relay on the mech? I thought I had a manual but I can't put my hands on it right now. I have searched high and low for it. I may have loaned it to a friend. Just wanted to see if any one has had this issue before. And the amp has not been rebuilt. Thanks

Hi
The mute relay is inside the amp but if you can hear slight volume then this is probably not the problem, more likely a tube and or capacitor problem. Even though the tubes are lit it doesn't mean they are operating correctly
Check and clean speaker connections ,the phono input and the volume control plus input into amp, check the impedance switch on the amp itself.

Hi Junkman,
I agree with clones on this--with one addition--Check needle/cartridge and connections--Word of advice--If you do not have the electronic skills needed to repair an amplifier, find someone who does, because, if you keep running this with a problem, such as you have, it's very likely to cost BIG $$ when it quits in a ball of smoke--if not fire !
