wurlitzer 2304 top/bottom record rings

hi every one , can some one explain why there are top and bottom record rings i dont understand why because the top ring numbers do not match up with bottom ring numbers i dont know the procedure for loading the records and how the both rings work together . im not sure if my rings are mixed up or not . i have the 2304 and 2104 manual and both do not cover loading records any help i would appreciate . thank you

Records are loaded according to the lower markings--the upper ones are for the "viewer" that shows customer which selection is playing. Be SURE, to use the "Record Loading Lever", prior to turning the basket by hand ! Ron
