MY VERY NICE ROWN R91 ANTIQUE APPARATUS JUKEBOX, WELL PLAY THE 45 RECORD A 1/4 THROUGH THE RECORDS THEN SLIDS ACROSS THE RECORD. I HAVE A NEW NEDDLE THAT DOES LOOK CORRECT BUT I NOT REALLT SURE, IT LOOK LIKE THE OLD NEEDLE. THE FIELD SERVICE MANUAL DOES NOT LIST SUCH A PROBLEM.

THANKS IN ADVANCE

Hi regt,

How is the cartridge marked, does it say Rowe Ami or Shure. The orginal would have been a M44C and the styli would be a N44C.

The jukebox if it was a Antique Apperatus One More Time with a record mech then it may well have used R-91 parts, if the jukebox is a R-91 then it would not be Antique Apperatus.

With regards to the cartridge check out that the styi is fully seated and the the inner and outer parts of the cartridge have not come unstuck. Also check that the tone arm cable is not catching on anything and stopping the arm from from traveling correctly also check that the tone arm cam (plastic) is not broken.

Is the needle sliding on the record, or is it rasied? The book tells you how to adjust the tone-arm cam.
The tone-arm cables could be stopping the movement of the tonearm. What does the old stylus do? Is
your mech still bolted down??? Its a mechanical funtion somewhere, check your records too. John
