nsm prestige

Hi guys, i am considering purchasing an NSM prestige 2. am looking for suggestions of what to look for and common problems of these boxes. i know that the carriage is similar to Seeburg in playing the record sideways, and that this mechanism uses 2 motors one to scan and one on a friction drive, to run the turntable. the particular unit i am looking at wont scan. let me know what you think. thanks Mark

Other then the fact that they handle he records vertically, they have nothing in common with a Seeburg. If you are located in a country that still has "support' for them, and the price is right--I don't see why not?
The USA is not a place to find support, as far as I know--

Hi Mark,
Welcome to the forum, you do not say what country you live in.
I agree with Ron on both counts. If you live in Europe then NSM is not so much of an issue, the USA is another story altogether.
