Hi,

I found out someone put Rockola Speakers in my Seeburg, they have 3 Ohms Impedance.
I think I read somewhere Seeburg has 16 Ohm in the Disco.

The part# I should have is 47-459918. Does anyone know the stats on those speakers like Impedance, Power and frequency range?

Thank you!

Don't know where you "read" 16 ohms, but that's partly wrong. All Seeburgs, since the "DISCOTHEQUE's", of 1965/66 use a 5 ohm speaker system. Horns used from the "GEM", on up are 16 ohms each.
To put the above in "tech terms", rather then "marketeers terms", the 1965/6 PFEA models , and the LS-2 Model. Your's BTW, is a SMC-1 model. Ron Rich

I read it on a picture posted of the original speaker. Written on it was 16Ohm, allright so thats apparently not correct.

So when I want to buy a new speaker for this Machine, what should I buy? 12" ?W and ?freq.range ? and 5ohms?

Thanks for your input

William,
I, myself would purchase used speakers. They are "all the same", electrically, from the LS-2 model up. Earlier models had a different ("bullet") style connector, and were made by different companies, but will work just fine---
As for other specs. I don't have that info ?

Thanks for your reply, I'll go hunt down some speakers then, I see one speaker now for sale so I'll see if I can get that one.
