Wurlitzer 2310S Dome glass bad fitting

As the dome glass was missing when I bought the box I bought a new glass, (quite expensive).
The fitting to the alu frame is really bad.
There is a gap of 3/16"-1/4" between the glass and the sides of the frame and it doesn't look good!
Worst of it is that there is nothing I can do about it.
Is this what I should expect from a new glass?

Hi Gunnar,
I am having a problem understanding your photos here--Is the glass too short, or is it too thin to be held tight by the frame ?

The glass is mounted to the four profiles.
No problem with the two straight profiles, they fit good.
But when I mount the two bended alu profiles, there is a large gap between the front outside of the glass and the alu profile bended inner side
The direction of the photo is parallell to the glass front outside.
The radius of the glass is to large!
Was this better???

If the frame has not been bent, the glass is wrong---If you purchased it from a reputable seller, I would contact the seller ?? Ron Rich

Hello Gunnar,
I agree with Ron if the side frames have not been bent from having them refurbished then the curve on the glass is incorrect.
Curved glass is difficult to produce and it incures many failurers (hence the high cost to produce) but you need to get back to your supplier. If the nut in your picture is anything to go by it looks as if youhave got a gap of 6 or 7mm there.

The gap is 5,5mm.
If it is difficult to manufacture curved glass then a possibly new glass might have the same issue?
When looking on photos of other 2300/2310 domeglass (mounted in the frame) on the web, most of them looks similar to the one I have.
I will try to fill the gap with some kind of crystalclear filler/glue before changing the glass!
Almost impossible to have someone to ship glass domes to Sweden!
Leadtime is very very long!

In my opinion filler isn't the best solution, it's messy to apply and it will discolour eventually.
Can't you find some "chrome" plastic beading to fill the gap?
