'Who's On First"?

At a Garage Sale I came upon a 78 RPM record featuring Abbot and Costello and their classic "Who's on First' skit.
Part 1 is on one side of the disc and Part 2 is on the flip side.
CASTLE Records with characatures of Laurel and Hardy on each label - front and back.
Is this record 'collectable', rare, etc. or should it be filed with all the Frank Sinatra 78s?

That's a new one on me. Forever and a day I thought that "Who's On First, was a classic routine of Abbott and Costello.

It sound very interesting. Any chance you could post a picture of the label? I've never heard of a Castle record label before, though here in Oz, we didn't get an awful lot of American releases on the same labels.

I wonder if they had anything to do with Castle Films, who released alot of Chaplin, Laurel & Hardy, Abbott & Costello etc films on super 8 for home veiwing in the 1950's & 60's??

Shane,
I bet you're right. I did a quick search fort Castle Records and came up with nothing, but Castle Films was another story. Unfortunately I can't find anything about any records hay may have issued.
Regards,
J.

John- I'm always right---not
Seriously, it just seems a bit of a co-incidence that the subject matter of Castle films and this record are so closely related. Perhaps they made a failing attempt to break into the record market as well?? Or perhaps it could be used in sync with the film?
Now I'm even more curious to see the label!
It probably is a fairly rare record.

This is photos of Bud Abbott and Lou Costello, I have this record, it is kinda rare. I would keep it. I paid $10.00 for mine, and think its probably worth more than a Frank Sinatra.
