I would appreciate any input for any information about speed running slow(and sometime correct) It is in a maggie console mod 2P3763 with a chassis 7013276/8901.Run 2 prouduct. The table functions normally otherwise, only actual speed is slower and correct occasionally. I have removed the platter and shaft is spinning and idler is not brittle. Does the motor need oiled?
Thanks

The motor may have some oxidization or dust. I have heard this from other people. Can you open the motor up? You may be able to see the oxidization.DeOxit may work but don't quote me on that. I'm sure other people might speak up, search google for micromatic turntable motor. You might be able to find something there.

What you need to do is take the motor lose (can be a pita to do) and open it up. There is oxidization built up inside and on the bearing that is causing this. Clean it really good with DEOXIT spray and than lubricate it with some 3-in-1 oil and reassemble it. That will solve your problem. I just did this to a 1972 Micro-Matic and it runs great now!
